National Adoption Month Special – 2012
Last year when we had our NAM special I really wanted to give back to adoptive families. I thought (and still do) that they are incredible and deserve something special. My wife and I have been on our own adoption “journey” throughout the last year and the one thing I’ve come to realize is that for every adoptive family there are probably hundreds of others in their community who help to make their adoption possible. We’ve been completely and utterly humbled by our community this year.
With the help of our community we’ve managed to raise somewhere north of $40,000 in about 11 months. Crazy.
This year we want to celebrate not just adoptive families, but their adoptive communities as well.
Feel free to forward this on to any and everyone that you know who thinks adoption is a positive force in the world. Sessions can be bought in multiples and/or given as gifts. The only condition is that they must be redeemed before the end of 2012.
If you have additional questions check out the FAQ on the special here. If you have a question not listed use the form on the FAQ page to ask and I will answer it as soon as possible!
Brent+Amanda
This may be my favorite wedding of the year! I’m probably biased though because Brent is one of my very good friends. Brent and I worked together at a creative services company. He was the guy creating jaw dropping designs and I was the guy asking why it wasn’t done yet. Despite that dynamic we managed to become friends and confidants. Brent is one of the most genuinely nice guys I’ve ever met and I’m so happy to see Brent and Amanda finally tie the knot! Amanda looked amazing in her dress and did you see her shoes? Flippin awesome. Also I want to give a big shout out to Alex for being the most polite groomsmen of the year! Thanks to Molly for being my fantastic 2nd.
Cassandra + Joshua: State Fair Engagement
Where to start with a shoot like this!? I guess it started when my daughter (Campbell) started the morning off by puking all over me. I was supposed to meet with Cassie about an hour later and had to text her to cancel. I realized then that I would probably have to hold off on going to the fair with Campbell until later in the week. That’s when it hit me! I quickly texted her back and asked if she wanted to have her engagement session at the State Fair. She said, “I LOVE the idea!” and we scheduled it for the next week.
In the meantime Josh got a new job and found out he was going to be sent off to train for two weeks. That was when she called me Monday night at 6:00 p.m. and told me we had a problem. It all worked out in the end though! I spent Tuesday morning shopping for their clothes (which fit PERFECTLY. Holla!) and besides a tiny bit of rain everything went off without a hitch! I hope you love these as much as I do.
